New: Network for ongoing dissertations about confirmation work
Confirmation work is one of the most important educational efforts in many Protestant churches in different countries. The question whether this work is successful and how it could be improved is of great interest for the churches. What strategies can be considered successful? Which organizational models should be pursued? How do the participants feel about the content and the different programs?
The international study aimed at researching confirmation training in different countries with similar questionnaires. The results can help to optimize the conceptual developments in confirmation training in the future.
The international comparative study has been conducted from 2007-2009 in seven European countries:
- Austria
- Denmark
- Finland
- Germany
- Norway
- Sweden
- Switzerland
Poland and Hungary join the Network since 2010.
